The Production Operator will be located onsite in Minden, LA and reports through to the Plant Manager. This position supports safe and efficient manufacturing of energetic materials by executing manual production activities, operating equipment, handling materials, and packaging finished goods. This role requires strict adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards while working in a team-oriented, industrial environment.

In this role, the essential functions are:

  • Execute production activities including operating equipment, staging materials, weighing, and packaging finished product in accordance with standard procedures
  • Follow all safety requirements, including PPE, explosive handling protocols, and site-specific procedures to maintain a safe work environment
  • Accurately record and/or communicate production data, batch information, and material usage to ensure traceability and compliance
  • Transport materials and finished goods using forklifts and other approved equipment as needed
  • Maintain housekeeping, inspect work areas and equipment, and report issues to support safe, reliable operations

  • High school diploma or GED with ability to read, write, and perform basic math
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required federal and state explosives licenses, including background checks and drug screening
  • Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to outdoor conditions and physical demands
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and work safely in a regulated, high-hazard environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and manual handling

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or powder handling environments
  • Prior experience operating forklifts or material handling equipment

Travel, Physical and/or Government Mandated Requirements:

  • Travel - none
  • Ability to lift, move, or carry items or equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a manufacturing and warehouse environment for extended periods with exposure to varying temperatures
  • Ability to wear required PPE and comply with site-specific safety and regulatory requirements
  • Candidates must meet all eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain applicable state and federal explosives licenses, including minimum age requirements (21 and over), a drug-free workplace in compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 (41 U.S.C. §§ 8101–8106), Executive Order 12564 (Drug-Free Federal Workplace), applicable Department of Defense directives including DoD Instruction 1010.09 and DFARS 252.226-7003 and successful completion of any legally required background investigations.
  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

The good faith base hourly rate for this role is $21.66 per hour at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive. This range may be adjusted in the future.
